I've never celebrated seeing an $890 check clear our checking account like I did yesterday. On Thursday, our check to the Department of Homeland Security cleared. Today, we rec'd our I797C, which is a "notice of action"....a really fancy form and name to state that the Department of Homeland Security has rec'd our I-600A (application for advance processing of orphan petition). Our appointments for biometrics should be following in the mail shortly. I'm a little anxious that the appointments they scheduled for us may fall during spring break while we're away in Florida, but Nick keeps telling me to stop worrying and we can deal with that IF it's an issue. He's good like that :)
