One doesn't have to spend much time around Teagen to determine he's ALL BOY. In true all boy fashion, we have our first fracture (just the index finger). It hasn't been a big deal to him and hasn't impacted his life much. In fact, he's functioned normally for 2 days now (including soccer about 2 hours after the "accident") and only mentions a slight pain when asked. He apparently slammed his finger into a wall at a birthday party he attended on Sunday. Lesson learned here: go straight to urgent care with bones, sprains, jams, etc. The pediatrician's office has been less than efficient at dealing with this. We're heading in this evening for a splint and then life continues as normal.
Everyone just shakes their head and says "welcome to having a boy". I smile a bit inside as many of these people don't realize we're planning to add to the boy factor in our house. With the injury prone week we've had with just one active little boy, I can just imagine what our future holds with two!!
