Tonight we discussed adding to our family with Teagen. He said it would be great and suggested we might need to get bunkbeds for him to share with his brother. He was especially happy when we asked how he felt about a brother his age instead of a baby. He said he doesn't like when babies suck on toys so he'd be relieved to share toys with a brother that could play with his toys. Teagen reacted pretty much the way we anticipated so that's a relief.
I'm excited and relieved to have this out in the open so to speak. Very few people know we have been considering this, but once you tell a five year old, things have a way of becoming public. My parents will be here this weekend for Christmas and we plan to tell them then. Soon after, I'm sure we will be telling our closest friends.
My heart is anxious to begin this journey. I know it will not be smooth, nor easy.
